or the entire summer it was
a ton of fun for the entire
summer, every Tuesday
players had some had a few
beers, banged some balls
around and enjoyed each others com-
pany.
Then it came; it was play-off time and
the fun was really about to begin. The
top 8 seeded teams faced off in week 1
started off as expected with the 1 seed
Riverside Pub based Str8-Up defeat-
ing Oshea’s Chaulk is Cheap while
Casey’s Home Town Boys the number
2 seed barely survived the 7th seeded
Riverside’s Nasty Girls with a 101-100
one ball victory. Meanwhile the 3rd
seeded On The Fly got by number 4
On the Edge while the only mild upset
of the
fi
rst round came when number
5 seed Just for Fun defeated number 4
seed Late Comers.
ROUND TWO:
Round two went pretty much as adver-
tised with the exception of the number
7 seeded Nasty Girls fresh from Inter-
national play-offs in Las Vegas stunned
On the Edge by closing the match out
leading by 41 points with 4 games to
go thus advancing to the next round.
Str8-Up meanwhile easily topped Just
for Fun while the Late Comers moved
along and eliminated Chaul is Cheap.
In a mild upset number 2 Home Town
Boy’s fell victim to en energized On
The Fly team 108-100.
ROUND THREE:
It was pandemonium at Riverside Pub
in Bath when Nasty Girls playing on
their home table continued their hot
streak. Nasty Girls captained by Lynne
Grif
fi
n Cote faced off against Just for
Fun who was led by her husband Ray
and promised to be the match of the
play-off and it was when the Nasty
Girls continued their impressive run
when they eliminated Just for Fun in
a thrilling 107-105 victory with Lynne
topping her husband in the
fi
nal match
of the singles rounds 10-6 to propel her
team into the
Quarter
fi
nals,
while On the
Fly moved on
by eliminating
the Late Com-
ers 109-96.
In the other
match up it
was Str8-Up
again keep-
ing the pedal
to the metal
with a solid
100-88 vic-
tory over
the Home
Town
Boy’s .
